We learn by practice. Whether it means to learn to dance by practicing dancing or to learn to live by practicing living.

My Practice
I teach violin and viola lessons individually, one-on-one, with parents present, if they wish to be. Parents are required to stay for the lessons with the youngest students. Lessons take place at my home studio in Concord, MA.
The initial emphasis is all about core foundational skills. By giving the student the right building blocks early on, they have the right foundation to continue to pursue music as far as they desire.
The materials I use are primarily Suzuki and Essential Elements, though I incorporate a number of other items when appropriate for the student.
What we'll work on
Proper instrument and bow hold, as well as good posture
Sense of rhythm and ability to read notes
Building strong practice habits
Motivation by example and successful skill building
A varied repertoire: classical, folk, popular
Instilling the joy of making music and developing a life-long love of music
Enthusiasm to share talent with others through concerts and community events
